We’re SHABA 2026 Finalists: A Massive Thank You!

Summer is fast approaching here in Coatbridge, and there’s an incredible buzz in the salon lately. I have something completely different, and very special to share with you all. Mona Bishara Nails & Beauty has officially been named a finalist at the Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards SHABA 2026!
For those who might not know, SHABA is the largest and most prestigious independent beauty awards in Scotland. The grand final takes place this September, and I have the most amazing story to share with you about how we got here. We originally only applied and were nominated for two categories. However, because so many of you went out of your way to vote for our nail services, the judges couldn't ignore it. Thanks to your unbelievable support, we became finalists in THREE categories!
Best Salon
I hear the same requests in the salon every single day - you want a place to truly relax and leave feeling beautiful, refreshed, and confident. Our goal has always been to create a space that acts as your perfect escape from the everyday hustle and bustle, whether you are popping in for a quick touch-up or a full pampering session. Being recognised as one of the best salons in Scotland is a massive honour for us.
Best Facial
For me, a facial is so much more than just a skincare routine - it’s a chance for you to completely switch off, unwind, and let us work our magic. Whether we're focusing on deep hydration, clearing up blemishes, or giving you that flawless no-makeup glow for the summer, I put my absolute all into tailoring every single treatment to your skin's unique needs. To have our facials recognised at such a prestigious level is an absolute dream.
Best Nails
As I mentioned above, this is the one we didn't even initially apply for! We only originally put ourselves forward for Best Salon and Best Facial. But because of the sheer volume of you choosing the nails category and voting for us anyway, the SHABA judges officially added us to the Best Nails finalist list too! I have always been obsessed with creating the perfect manicure from ensuring your natural nails stay strong and healthy to delivering flawless, long-lasting finishes. This organic, client-driven nomination means more to me than words can say. I couldn't quite believe it!
Salon update: Counting down to September!
I just want to take a moment to say a massive thank you. It is your loyalty, your trust, and all those surprise votes that got us to the SHABA 2026 finals. We will be counting down the days to the gala.
