January Self-Care Plan: A Realistic 4-Week Reset

New year does not need a makeover, just a few kind habits that fit real life. Here is my simple four-week January self-care plan for skin, nails, scalp and feet, with one weekly “treat appointment” you can look forward to. Start whenever you like, and if you want help mapping it to your diary, let me know.

Week 1: Reset and Repair

Skin

Keep things simple for a few days: cleanse (I recommend Smoothing Cleanser ), moisturise and wear SPF like Tropic's  Sun Day Dewy Facial each morning (yes, even in winter). If December left your skin tight or congested, book Hydrafacial to calm everything down and restore a healthy glow.

Nails

If you need to remove old gel, do it gently, tidy the cuticles, and begin a daily cuticle oil habit. Keeping a bottle by the kettle or bedside table makes it effortless.

Scalp

Avoid heavy styling for a week and choose a gentle, clarifying wash. If you feel built up with dry shampoo or product after your Christmas styling, a Korean Head Spa will leave your roots fresh and comfortable. We will remove any excess built up and restore balance and comfort to your scalp.

Movement

Give yourself ten minutes, three times this week, of any activity you enjoy - perhaps a walk, a short yoga flow, a swim or a little home pilates.

Sleep cue: Dim the lights and put your phone away thirty minutes before bed to help your system settle.

Week 2: Strength and Structure

Skin

Introduce a barrier-loving serum with hydrating ingredients and ceramides to help your face hold onto moisture.

Hands and nails

Book a gel manicure to protect the natural nail and give you neat, polished hands for three to four weeks. Choose a shade you know you will love every day.

Hand habit

Keep a hand cream (Signature hand lotion) in your bag or at your desk and reapply after washing. It makes a bigger difference than you think.

Week 3: Glow and Pedicure Care

Skin

Choose one evening for a hydrating mask (Comfort food) and an early night. If you want an in-salon boost, a Hydrafacial will top up hydration and brightness beautifully.

Feet and pedicure

Give your feet a little winter care: soak them for a few minutes, gently smooth the heels, and massage in a rich heel balm (Repairing Foot Remedy) . Cotton socks worn overnight help it work harder. If you prefer salon results, book a tidy pedicure or gel toes, so they stay lovely with no effort.

Brows

A simple shape and tint can make mornings quicker, and your face look more awake.

Movement

Aim for two short sessions of movement this week. Keep it achievable, and you will actually do it.

Week 4: Maintain and Treat

Choose your treat

Pick what your body is asking for now. A massage will melt the post-Christmas tightness in the shoulders, neck and jaw. A Korean Head Spa is bliss if your scalp and mind need a proper reset. A Hydrafacial is perfect if you want fresh skin before an event or a new start.

Keep what worked

Look back at the month and keep the simple routine you actually used, rather than chasing a perfect one you never will.

Book ahead

Put your next nails or skin appointment in for February now so it is there, waiting for you.

If you would like me to tailor this to your skin, nails and schedule, I am happy to help. Build your plan and book online, or send me a quick message and I will recommend the best appointments for you.

With love,

Mona
